Hello!

In regards to the harvesting process of the Antler Velvet for our Immortal Velvet extracts, it is a painless and ethical process. The Antler Velvet is harvested from Elk at a farm within the United States. Most of the other deer antler velvet products on the market are harvested from deer in New Zealand. We choose not to work with New Zealand on ethical grounds and for reasons of purity. We also prefer to work with a farm that is more local to us (within the U.S.), rather than across the world.

I hear your concern for the harvesting process. There is no harm done to the animals during the process. The Antler Velvet is gently clipped from the Elk's antlers at the appropriate time during the harvest season by the farmer who has raised the Elk since birth. The Elk are genetically wild animals, but are tamed through their living on a ranch. The animals have been working from birth with the rancher, so they are accustomed to allowing him to approach them and remove the "living tips" of the Antler Velvet while they are grazing in the field. The farmer is referred to as the "Elk Whisperer", due to his incredible ability to work with the Elk in this way. Essentially, our harvesting process involves one individual walking up to the Elk at the farm at the proper time in the antler development and clipping off the ends. This is neither completely pain free or extremely stressful - We liken the pain and stress level to that of a human giving blood.

The Elk have nerve endings in their antlers, so the experience for the animals through the clipping process is alike humans giving blood. This is very mild and almost unnoticeable.

Many farms use tranquilizers and/or anesthetics on their animals when removing the antler velvet. These tranquilizers and anesthetics wind up in products made with that antler velvet. Like I said previously, the farmer at the farm that we work with simply walks up to the Elk and clips the "living tips" while the Elk are grazing. He does not use tranquilizers or anesthetics of any kind.

Sincerely,

The SurThrival Team

Hi Mike! The recommended dosage for the Pine Pollen tincture is 2/3 of a droppers full, once per day. This can be taken directly into the mouth, swished around for up to 60 seconds, and then swallowed.

We look forward to working with you!

Best,

The SurThrival Team

Hi Justin! The dosage on the nutritional label is simply a recommendation, so we encourage clients to begin with that dose and then potentially increase or decrease the dosage from there. Our understanding is that as long as an individual doesn't drink a whole bottle in one sitting, all should be well :)

Glad you are enjoying the Pine Pollen!!!

Ive been using the pine pollen tincture for about 3 weeks now, and love its effects! I take 30 drops, 2-3 times a day. Is it safe to increase the amount to 40-45 drops? Are there side effects?

Hi Justin,

Yes, it is not recommended that adolescent males (or females for that matter) use Pine Pollen tinctures as it certainly could interfere with their natural hormone production.

Best,

The SurThrival Team

Hi Justin,

Pine Pollen tincture has been known to support the healthy production of testosterone in our bodies AND it does contain naturally occurring bio-identical testosterone. It has been considered a natural testosterone supplement and has actually been known to help our bodies naturally produce healthy levels of testosterone and/or re-educate our bodies to produce healthy amounts of testosterone.

Thanks for inquiring!

Sincerely,

The SurThrival Team
